90 Day Fiance: Rasit’s Big Ask Shocks Mallorie!

In the next episode of 90 Day Fiance, Rasit and Mallorie face their first big problem and argue about money. Rasit tells Mallorie she needs to send about 10,000 Turkish lira to his parents. This shocks Mallorie, who claims that not all Americans are rich. Rasit says his parents need help and that it’s his responsibility to provide it. Mallorie flat-out says she cannot afford such a large amount because she does not earn that much.

Rasit grew up with strong family values. Many Eastern and Middle Eastern  families teach children to support their parents. Rasit believes helping his parents is his duty. Mallorie respects his culture, but she does not want to take on that responsibility before marriage. She also thinks the amount is too high, even after converting it to dollars. Rasit’s big ask may be the first argument the couple has.

90 Day Fiance: Rasit’s Family Introduces Mallorie To A Turkish Tradition

In a sneak peek from the upcoming episode, Mallorie gets a lesson on Turkish tradition. 90 Day Fiance couple, Mallorie and Rasit, are part of the latest season of the reality TV. Mallorie traveled to Turkey to accompany Rasit back to the US. But before they travel, she visits Rasit’s family, who teach her a thing or two. Mallorie learns about salty Turkish coffee or damat kahvesi, which means “groom’s coffee.”

Mallorie learns what it means in Turkish tradition. Before the engagement, the bride-to-be makes Turkish coffee for the groom and his family during a family visit. But instead of sugar, she puts salt in the groom’s cup as a joke. The idea is to see how the groom reacts. If he drinks it without complaining, people see it as a sign that he is patient and respectful. Rasit explains it to Mallorie.

The fun part is not showing the groom how much salt the bride puts in the coffee. In the clip, Rasit’s family covers his eyes as Mallorie puts salt in his coffee. Rasit’s family also explains that marriage won’t always be sunshine and rainbows; sometimes it means rain and clouds. She also understands that all marriages will have their good times and bad.

This is a good way to start a new chapter of their life. As Mallorie learns about Turkish culture, the couple is also preparing for their marriage. Even though they had a minor argument about money, fans are excited to see Rasit learning more about American culture later. For more 90 Day Fiance updates, follow TV Season & Spoilers.
