Authorities Investigate After ‘Virgin River’ Actor Dies Under Suspicious Circumstances
Actor Stewart McLean has died at the age of 45 after Canadian authorities launched a homicide investigation connected to his disappearance.
McLean was last seen May 15 in Lions Bay, British Columbia. After a missing persons report was filed days later, investigators uncovered evidence that prompted the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team to take over the case.

Police confirmed Friday that the investigation remains active as authorities review CCTV footage, forensic evidence, and witness interviews.
McLean worked extensively in television productions filmed throughout British Columbia and built a career through appearances in numerous genre and drama series. Fans may recognize him from Virgin River, Arrow, Travelers, Happy Face, and Beyond.
Known in credits as Stew McLean, the actor had also expanded into producing while remaining active within the regional film industry around Vancouver, Squamish, and Bowen Island.
Authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding his death.
