HOTTES NEWS TODAY!!! EastEnders’ Grant causes chaos – with imminent death threat issued

Grant Mitchell’s attempts to help his son Mark backfired massively in EastEnders tonight. He seems to have made matters infinitely worse, with a sinister threat being made on Mark’s life.

At the top of tonight’s episode, Mark pulled his uncle Phil aside for a private chat, with Grant frustrated at being left out of whatever predicament he was up against.

Sister Sam then caught him up with the basic ins and outs of Mark’s dangerous debts, telling Grant that Phil previously helped him out of a “really tricky situation” but now Mark is in more trouble and “struggling to pay it back”.

Mark, meanwhile, asked Phil for a loan, but an accommodating Phil told him he needed a week to get it together. When Grant barrelled in insisting it’s “his business” too, Mark told him he needs to find £90,000 — as soon as possible.

“Maybe I can talk to them, buy you some more time,” Grant said, with Mark adamantly turning him down before storming off.

Grant and Phil then discussed the matter, with Grant demanding to know who Mark owes. He was reeling to learn that it’s Russell Delaney, with whom he has a lot of history.

“I’ll reason with him, we’re old mates,” Grant said, but Phil refused to hand over Delaney’s contact details. Still, Grant went behind his back and tracked Delaney down.

Pleasantries between the two men soon turned sour, with Delaney throwing a punch over the fact Grant previously slept with his wife, Joanne. Grant had no trouble hitting back, and when Phil arrived to try and make peace, Grant continued to make matters worse.

“Mark’s debt? Double it,” Delaney growled. “And if he don’t cough up by the end of next week, I’ll kill him.”

How will Grant straighten this one out with Mark?
