THE FINAL RECKONING: HUGE MEGAN WALSH UPDATE LEAVES WEATHERFIELD IN SH0CK
Coronation Street airs a huge Megan Walsh update tonight after Will Driscoll finally admitted he was groomed by the teacher. Tuesday’s episode saw Will have a conversation with Tim Metcalfe, which helped him realise that his relationship with Megan was actually abuse.
Will’s family had thought he was going to Scotland to stay with his mum, but the teen had planned to leave the country with Megan and go to France after stealing £2,000 from his dad’s safe.
But Tim opening up to Will about his own experience of being groomed by Trisha made the teen have a change of heart, with Tim eventually leaving Will at the police station so he could give his statement.
Tonight, a downcast Will comes down for breakfast, telling his family that reporting Megan to the police was the hardest thing he’s ever had to do.
Much to his family’s delight, Will then says he’s no longer going to Scotland and wants to stay at home and sit his exams.
At the police station, Megan is questioned by DS Lisa Connor-Swain after being apprehended while trying to leave the country.
When Megan is once again asked if she’s ever had a sexual relationship with Will, she denies it, saying it’s just his “delusional family” who believe she has.
Lisa then informs her that Will has now said the pair had a sexual relationship and that he gave her the £2,000 he stole from the safe.
Megan still denies the relationship, saying Will is a liar who is infatuated with her.
Back at home, Ben tells Will that Megan is being questioned by the police, making Will feel guilty about giving his statement.
However, Ben informs him that Megan only booked one plane ticket and was never planning to take Will away with her.
Later, Lisa informs Megan that she has been charged with causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and will be denied bail as she poses a flight risk.
When Lisa comes round to deliver the news to Will’s family, Will overhears that Megan has been charged.
Will then hears his dad saying that he’ll probably never recover from what Megan did to him.
When Will sees his dad again, he admits that he heard everything Ben said and breaks down crying, saying he’ll probably never get over Megan’s betrayal as he did really believe she loved him.
