General Hospital spoilers for Monday, May 18, reveal that Police Detective Joe Fitzpatrick is called to arrest one of Port Charles’s own, and more. Read on, let Soap Opera News break it down for you.

A New Detective and an Arrest

There is a new face arriving in Port Charles, and it looks like he is wasting absolutely no time getting to work.

Police detective Joe Fitzpatrick, played by Jonathan Bennett, officially arrives on the scene, and his first order of business involves arresting one of Port Charles’ very own.

The big question is: who?

There has been no shortage of chaos in town lately, but one event immediately stands out.

Given the timing, some signs point directly to the violent aftermath of Friday’s explosive face-off. With Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) down on the pavement after being decked by a furious Curtis Ashford (Donnnell Turner), Detective Fitzpatrick might just be making his first official collar at the scene of the crime.

Then again, this is Port Charles, where surprises are always around the corner. So there is also a chance that another situation entirely pulls the detective into town drama.

Either way, his arrival already sounds interesting.

Laura Shares an Update About Anna

The PCPD has its hands full elsewhere, too. We finally get some movement on the Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) front when Laura (Genie Francis) catches up with Mac (John J. York) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) to pass along the latest findings.

Unfortunately, it’s not the good news everyone was hoping for. Laura has to break the tough reality to the two men, warning them that Anna is caught up in much deeper trouble than anyone initially anticipated.

Emma Opens Up to Felicia

While the authorities talk about her grandmother, a terrified Emma (Braedyn Bruner) is dealing with her own mounting anxiety. Following her recent hospital visits, the emotional weight becomes too much to carry alone.

She finds a safe space to open up to Felicia (Kristina Wagner) as she tearfully admits her worst fears that something is seriously wrong with her.

In other GH spoilers for May 18, Joss (Eden McCoy) makes a grim discovery while still being held captive at Spoon Island.

As viewers know, Joss has been desperately trying to figure out a way to escape the room where she is being held by “Nathan” (Ryan Paevey).

So what exactly does she discover that leaves her shaken?

Whatever it is, it definitely does not sound good.

Jordan Questions Justine About Sonny

Meanwhile, Jordan (Tanisha Harper) presses Justine (Nazneen Contractor) about Sonny (Maurice Benard).

At this point, Sonny and the ADA have become very close. In fact, their connection recently turned romantic.

Now Jordan wants answers.

So, will Justine actually be honest with her friend about what is really going on between her and the mob boss?
