ANGER ERUPTS! Disgusted George takes action to get rid of Eddie forever in EastEnder
Evil Eddie Knight (Christopher Fairbank) has torn the Knight-Mitchell family apart since his unwelcome return to EastEnders, but next week, his son George Knight (Colin Salmon) finally snaps and takes action to get rid of him for good.
The racist murderer has been living with George and his partner Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) since getting early release from prison after being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.
George was previously estranged from his adopted father after it was revealed Eddie killed George’s birth father in a racially motivated attack when the former Queen Vic landlord was still a child.
That also came after George found out that Eddie and his wife Gloria (Elizabeth Counsell) adopted him through an illegal process called baby farming back in the 1950s.
Upon his reappearance on the BBC soap earlier this month, Eddie made it clear he was determined to spend his final days with his son, bribing Nicola into making his living arrangement happen in exchange for cash to save her flailing businesses.
Next week, George realises he needs to do more to protect his family after Eddie’s true colours resurface.
Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) learns from her boyfriend Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) that Eddie has made disgusting remarks about her again, and later confronts George about the situation.
George pales upon learning that Eddie has not changed, and attempts to apologise to Gina, but she flees.
Knowing he needs to step up for his daughter, George then tells Eddie he’s sending him back to prison to see out his final days.

But Eddie then drops the bombshell about Nicola allowing him to stay with them in return for money, leaving George dumbfounded.
As the pair argue, old emotions bubble to the surface, and George finally renounces Eddie as his dad for his actions and treatment of his family.
He then makes a last-minute decision to protect himself and his family from his dad’s actions for good.
However, soap bosses have teased that George may ‘live to regret’ what he ends up doing…
With next week’s special episodes set to ‘change everything’ for several key characters – George being one of them – could it be that he impulsively kills Eddie?
The tension surrounding Eddie Knight continues to escalate as his presence in Walford pushes the Knight-Mitchell family closer to breaking point than ever before.
After years of pain, betrayal, and unanswered questions, George Knight believed he had finally reached a place where he could move forward with his life. He had rebuilt relationships with his daughters, found stability with Nicola Mitchell, and attempted to leave the horrors of his childhood behind him. However, Eddie’s shocking return has reopened wounds that never truly healed.
Despite his failing health, Eddie remains determined to maintain control over those around him. While many residents initially assumed his terminal diagnosis might have softened him, recent events have proven otherwise. Time and again, Eddie has revealed the same cruel attitudes that destroyed countless lives in the past.
The latest incident involving Gina leaves George devastated.
After learning that Eddie once again made offensive and deeply hurtful comments about his daughter, George struggles to contain his anger. Watching Gina walk away in tears becomes the final confirmation that his father is incapable of change.
What troubles George most is the realization that Eddie’s behavior is beginning to affect every member of the family. Anna is increasingly uncomfortable around him. Gina refuses to spend time in the same room as him. Even Nicola, who originally agreed to help Eddie, is starting to question whether the arrangement was worth the financial support he provided.
Behind closed doors, George begins discussing possible solutions with Nicola.
For the first time, the couple openly acknowledges that allowing Eddie into their home may have been a catastrophic mistake.
Nicola attempts to defend her earlier decision, explaining that her businesses were facing serious financial difficulties. She insists she never anticipated the level of chaos Eddie would bring into their lives.
George understands her position, but the revelation still stings.
The fact that money played such a significant role in Eddie’s return leaves him feeling manipulated and betrayed. Once again, Eddie has managed to buy influence and create division within the family.
Meanwhile, Eddie appears completely unaware of the damage he is causing.

Rather than expressing remorse, he continues behaving as though he deserves forgiveness simply because he is dying.
Several residents of Walford become increasingly alarmed by his attitude. Conversations in the Square soon turn toward whether Eddie should have been released from prison at all.
Many remember the devastating consequences of his actions and struggle to understand why he expects sympathy.
As pressure mounts, George finds himself revisiting painful memories from his childhood.
The truth about his biological father remains one of the darkest chapters of his life. Learning that Eddie’s racism led to such an unimaginable tragedy changed George forever. While he initially tried to maintain some form of connection with the man who raised him, every new interaction makes that possibility seem more impossible.
The emotional burden begins affecting George’s relationships.
Friends notice that he appears distracted and exhausted. He becomes short-tempered and withdrawn, spending long periods alone as he wrestles with difficult decisions.
At the same time, Gina grows increasingly frustrated by what she perceives as hesitation from her father.
She believes Eddie should have been removed from their lives immediately.
From Gina’s perspective, every extra day Eddie spends in Walford is another opportunity for him to cause pain.
Their disagreements create further tension within the family.
George understands Gina’s anger, yet he struggles with the reality that cutting Eddie off completely would mean confronting decades of complicated emotions. Despite everything Eddie has done, he was still the man who raised him.
That emotional conflict becomes almost unbearable.
As the week progresses, Eddie’s health takes another decline.
However, rather than generating sympathy, his worsening condition only creates additional complications.
Some family members begin wondering whether George should show compassion during Eddie’s final days. Others argue that terminal illness does not erase a lifetime of cruelty and abuse.
The divided opinions leave George feeling trapped.
Every option seems wrong.
If he allows Eddie to stay, he risks further damaging his family relationships.
If he forces him out, he may spend the rest of his life questioning whether he acted too harshly toward a dying man.
The situation reaches a dramatic turning point when George and Eddie engage in an explosive confrontation.
Years of suppressed anger finally erupt.
George accuses Eddie of destroying lives, manipulating everyone around him, and refusing to take responsibility for his actions. Eddie responds with shocking arrogance, insisting that George owes him gratitude for raising him.
The exchange quickly becomes one of the most emotional clashes viewers have seen between the pair.
Old resentments surface.
Painful truths are spoken aloud.
Neither man holds back.
By the end of the confrontation, George makes a life-changing declaration.
He no longer considers Eddie his father.
The words hit Eddie harder than anything else.
For a brief moment, his confident facade appears to crack.
Yet even then, he refuses to offer a genuine apology.
Instead, he attempts to blame others for the state of their relationship.
That response ultimately confirms George’s worst fears.
Eddie is never going to change.
Faced with this realization, George begins preparing for a drastic course of action.
Determined to protect Gina, Anna, Nicola, and the rest of the family, he decides that Eddie’s influence over their lives must end once and for all.
However, spoilers suggest that George’s next move could have far-reaching consequences.
In his desperation to shield those he loves, he may act impulsively.
And if he does, the aftermath could alter the future of several Walford residents.
Producers have already hinted that upcoming episodes will leave viewers stunned and may force George into one of the most difficult situations he has ever faced.
Questions continue to swirl around what exactly happens next.
Will George successfully remove Eddie from his family’s lives?
Could Eddie’s declining health lead to an unexpected tragedy?
Or might a heated confrontation spiral out of control, resulting in consequences nobody anticipated?
Whatever unfolds, one thing appears certain: the Knight family is heading toward a defining moment that could reshape their future forever.
With emotions running high, secrets exposed, and relationships hanging by a thread, George Knight’s battle against the man who caused so much pain is far from over.
And as Walford braces for another explosive chapter, viewers should prepare themselves for shocking twists, heartbreaking decisions, and a confrontation that may change everything.
