Natasha Calis has joined Netflix’s long-running romantic drama as Dr. Astrid, a surgical resident whose arrival could create major tension within the town’s evolving medical system.

The new character reportedly arrives in Virgin River after being placed on probation under mysterious circumstances. While highly skilled, Astrid’s confidence and lack of warmth may make adjusting to the town difficult — especially inside Doc’s close-knit clinic.
